The Lord's Place helps homeless individuals, as well as individuals re-entering society from prison - gain self-sufficiency through housing, job training and more. Our Re-Entry staff needs volunteers to teach digital readiness classes, to prepare clients for using Internet sites to search for employment and prepare themselves for work.
The position also involves assisting staff with administrative tasks such as filing and completing forms. Confidentiality is a must.
This is a time commitment of 4-6 hours each week.

Description
The Lord’s Place, a nonsectarian social impact agency, is committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness with programs and services that include:
Street Outreach and Engagement, meeting people where they are out in the community to connect those currently on the street with necessary services to begin their journey out of homelessness.
Supportive Housing that gives our clients the time that they need in a stable, safe environment to address the issues that led to their homelessness.
Job Training & Placement to help regain economic self-sufficiency. The program assists clients in finding and maintaining employment by offering resume help, interview training, professional clothing, and classes aimed at teaching skills necessary to gain and maintain employment.
Cafe Joshua, our feeding program where we serve hot meals to currently homeless people every weekday, feeding from 180-210 people per day.
