RoleOverview

You’ll handle staff recruitment from start to finish. In this role, you'll be tasked with identifying, screening, assessing and attracting candidates for all departments of our organization on the front lines, interact closely with other members of our Human Resource team. 

From reference and background checks to initial screening interviews to follow-through on departmental candidate referrals, you’ll be the go-to for all things recruitment. 

Essential Functions

  • Posting and updating open positions on help wanted sites.  
  • Screening resumes and prequalifying candidates for presentation to hiring managers. 
  • Conducting prescreening phone interviews with candidates as requested. 
  • Communicating organization information during the screening process. 
  • Making preliminary background and skills assessments based on hiring needs. 
  • Performing reference and background checks, as required. 
  • Making candidate referrals to departmental directors. 
  • Coordinating interviews between candidates and the hiring managers. 
  • Following up on the interview process status. 
  • Staying informed on organizational structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

Qualifications

Basic

  • 3-5 years of verifiable work experience in recruiting. 
  • A track record of hands-on experience with various aspects of the candidate selection process. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct effective, probing interview with candidates on all levels. 
  • Excellent decision-making skills. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Experience working remotely as part of a small team. 
  • Experience working in a start-up company, non-profit or entrepreneurial environment. 
  • Self-directed and disciplined with the ability to work independently in an ever-changing environment. 
  • Can work a minimum of 10 hours a week for at least 6 months. 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. 
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS). 
  • Experience working remotely as part of a small team. 
  • Experience working in a start-up company, non-profit or entrepreneurial environment.
