ORGANIZATION: BLACK AMERICA CARES

Do you have the gift to gab? This is a great opportunity to help two organizations at the same time! Black America Cares (BAC) has partnered with the Vets Group, an organization dedicated to assist veterans with training and career counseling.

We are working with the D.C. Department of Employment Services (DOES) to help spread the word about the new D.C. Wage Laws. The Public Education Program (PEP) provides people who work in the District of Columbia with information regarding their rights as employees and employers.

We want to help at least 1000 people review this survey so they’re well informed. In return, this will help Black America Cares and the Vets Group obtain a grant. The grant funding will be used to help veterans in the Vets Group and will help economically challenged individuals who seek assistance from Black America Cares.

You simply encourage D.C. employees to scan our QR code on their phone and complete the questionnaire. This is a win-win for everyone! How? You’re helping the public to be informed about very important information.

1. As a volunteer, you’re helping 2 nonprofits who serve the community to expand their work
2. It’s easy. No pen or paper needed. People simply scan the code from your phone and complete the survey.
3. You can do this anytime

All information is collected simply to let DOES know how many people we shared this knowledge with. It won’t be shared or sold to anyone else. BAC and The Vets Group promises to keep your information confidential. If you have any questions contact us via email at blackamericacares@yahoo.com
