ORGANIZATION: GREEN ZIONIST ALLIANCE INC

Image_202010021146

Jewcology incorporates collaboration from a wide range of Jewish environmental leaders and organizations worldwide.

The long-term goal of this project is to build a multi-dnominational, muti-generational, regionally diverse community of Jewish environmental activists, who are learning from one another and from an expanding set of Jewish-environmental resources, how to educate their communities about our Jewish responsibility to protect the environment.

We have over 100 Jewish organizations (called initiatives) that have registered), but very few use Jewcology blogs, resources and events sections to share what they are doing. The marketing intern will work on getting these organizations to be active on Jewcology.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate and empower to green our lives, communities, Israel and the Earth. "Think of a desert: It looks barren -- but a little bit of water completely changes everything. That's a nice metaphor for what we are trying to do -- be that little bit of change, the one drop of water that makes all the difference. " ~ Rabbi Michael Cohen, co-founder of Aytzim: Ecological Judaism

Description

Our members, volunteers and leaders come from across the political and religious spectra. We care deeply about Judaism and the Earth, and believe in both education and action.

What we do: Founded in 2001 and incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2006, today Aytzim hosts five projects:
