Virtual Open House Wednesday, October 7 and Thursday, October 15 @ 6:30 pm
Enhance the quality of life for patients and their families in their own homes or in a facility, such as a nursing home or assisted living facility.
The global pandemic has changed our volunteer program and impacted the lives of patients and families significantly. We are in need of volunteers who can observe social distancing guidelines while supporting patients and families by:
- Assisting with supply assembly and organization
- Delivering supplies (blankets, warm weather supplies, groceries, activity books, and holistic care kits)
- Making check-in calls and/or mailing cards or letters
- Making socially distant outdoor visits, when weather permits

Volunteers receive training and will have ongoing guidance from a volunteer manager.
We will work with your schedule and you can choose to serve in your neighborhood, or anywhere in Louisville and the surrounding counties we serve.

Description
Since 1978, Hosparus Health has provided hospice and advanced illness care to tens of thousands of patients and their families in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Started by volunteers, we’re a fully accredited not-for-profit with care teams nationally recognized and respected for their innovation and expertise addressing the most complex health issues. In addition to hospice and advanced illness care, we also offer grief counseling, respite care, and medication management.
Hosparus Health cares for patients of all ages and backgrounds - regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, handicap or ability to pay.
