ORGANIZATION: Front Porch Community Services

Want to make a difference in the life of an older adult who may currently be more isolated than usual during this time of Covid? As a Social Call volunteer you'll provide social support and friendship, and foster creative conversations while visiting an older adult once a week by phone.


Social Call volunteers:
- Are matched with an adult 60+ years of age for conversation, swapping stories, learning and more.
- Receive training and ongoing support

Time Commitment:
- 6 month minimum, 30 min/week plus a brief monthly report.

Qualifications:
- 18+ years of age
- Pass a free background check
- Submit two non-family references
- Participate in volunteer training (flexible times, about 2 hours long)

Bilingual volunteers strongly encouraged to apply!
