Volunteer Career Instructors work with our Edu-Futuro staff to support, train and coach beneficiaries on practical skills to gain new jobs, promotions and/or enroll in advanced training/higher education. Edu-Futuro offers this training for individuals who are unemployed or underemployed and are motivated and ready to find a job or new job. This is an 8 week program which will meet once per week for 2 hours. This class will be offered in English.
Instructors train and coach beneficiaries on practical skills to gain new jobs, promotions and/or enroll in advanced training/higher education. Students will learn skills such as resume writing, goal setting, researching, planning and interviewing. Instructors offer a supportive, comfortable, and empowering classroom environment to learn skills to help beneficiaries prepare for finding a new job.
Strong communication skills and experience in training, teaching, coaching, social work, or human services is preferred. This is an 8-week program which will meet once per week for 2 hours, with an additional hour of preparation and follow up.

Description
Edu-Futuro is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by Bolivian parents and educators to address the educational needs of the growing Latino population. We offer programs that empower immigrant families through education. We offer: the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) which is a youth leadership and college preparation program, 9-12 Grades; STEM/Robotics, upper elementary, middle school, and high school (4-12); as well as parent and family programs. And we welcome volunteers in all our programs!
