Computer Literacy Instructors provide one-on-one support to adults enrolled in Edu-Futuro’s bilingual computer literacy classes. The responsibilities of this position include working collaboratively to teach lessons and monitoring the progress of beneficiaries. Instructors should be able to provide relevant information and guidance about the basics of computing with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Spanish language skills and an advanced understanding of computers required. Instructors can expect a commitment of 2.5 hours per week. 1.5 hours of classroom instruction and 30 minutes for prep time. This training session is 8 weeks long, once per week and takes place at least 4 times in one year. Facilitators have the option to participate in specific sessions or on an on-going basis. If you will be absent, coordinate with the teaching team to insure class coverage.

Description

Edu-Futuro is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by Bolivian parents and educators to address the educational needs of the growing Latino population. We offer programs that empower immigrant families through education. We offer: the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) which is a youth leadership and college preparation program, 9-12 Grades; STEM/Robotics, upper elementary, middle school, and high school (4-12); as well as parent and family programs. And we welcome volunteers in all our programs!
