Through a partnership with UnidosUS, Edu-Futuro offers basic financial literacy workshops and general information on various financial topics to parents and students, and provides referrals to free one-on-one financial coaching in both Spanish and English. The workshops may be one time workshops or 2 to 3 weeks, once per week for 1.5 hours each workshop. Curriculum and materials are provided. The workshops are offered in both English and Spanish.

Financial Literacy Coaches assist Edu-Futuro in executing Adult Financial Literacy workshops. Coaches Guide clients through topics including identifying financial goals, household budgeting and tracking expenses, how to plan and pay for college, reviewing credit reports, and how to improve credit rating/score.

This position requires Spanish language skills, a background in financial literacy, and strong communication skills. You can expect a time commitment of 2 hours per workshop. Thirty minutes for preparation and 1.5 hour workshops. Coaches have the option to participate in specific sessions or on an on-going basis.

Edu-Futuro is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by Bolivian parents and educators to address the educational needs of the growing Latino population. We offer programs that empower immigrant families through education. We offer: the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) which is a youth leadership and college preparation program, 9-12 Grades; STEM/Robotics, upper elementary, middle school, and high school (4-12); as well as parent and family programs. And we welcome volunteers in all our programs!
