ALS is a disease that causes people to lose the ability to control their muscles. People affected with ALS have difficulty writing and typing. Looking for moderator and note-taker for small local monthly Zoom ALS Support Group. This person should have their own computer, internet, some experience with Zoom, and comfortable with multi-tasking. Must be available 4 th Tuesday of each month between 1:30-3:30p PST to moderate, take attendance, notes, and monitor chat for the presenter. Support provided by the Assistive Technology Program Manager at the ALSA Evergreen Chapter. Background check and interview required. Volunteer will be required to maintain attendee confidentiality. Ideally, be available to start on October 27, 2020.

The ALS Association Evergreen Chapter offers comprehensive support for persons diagnosed with ALS, their families and caregivers cope with the day to day challenges of living with ALS by providing information, resources, and referrals to many sources.
Our Chapter's goal is to offer hope and support in all areas we serve - Washington, Idaho, Montana & Alaska.
