The Red Kettle Campaign is a long-standing holiday tradition that raises more than $1 million in donations annually to benefit local DMV families and individuals in need. Those families need you to help host at our Kettle locations November and December this year. Volunteers choose their own locations and time slots and then ring the iconic Salvation Army Bell! The kettles are typically stationed outside local grocery stores in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.
The Red Kettle Campaign is a vital component of The Salvation Army’s fundraising for families in need in the community.
We will work with you to find a location near you on a date and time that works for you!
You can see available locations and shifts here:https://www.registertoring.com/
Volunteers of all ages are welcome; those age 17 or under must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older at all times. This opportunity is great for groups, families, young children, older adults, and just about everyone!
COVID-19 safety measures include a mask requirement and sanitizing supplies (provided) to keep the kettle and bell clean.
