DSI is seeking a Training Curriculum Graphic Illustrator Intern to support the design and creation of visual graphics and illustrations for our disability training materials. The curriculum we are developing, structured in a Training of Trainers model, is being used with DSI's local partners and teachers in Cambodia to provide professional training and tangible, highly visual tools to encourage increased inclusive education throughout the country. If you are skilled in visual design and want to grow your skills and get involved in promoting a more equitable and inclusive world, this is a great opportunity for you!

You are a good fit for this position if you:

  • Have or are pursuing a bachelor's degree or graduate degree in artistic design, illustration, graphic design, or similar. Must be at least a junior-level undergraduate student to apply.

  • Have experience with and/or some understanding of international/impoverished country settings is preferred and will be helpful.

  • Can provide work samples or portfolio examples.

Main Duties:

  • Collaborate with DSI Advisory Working Group members to learn about needs and gain feedback.

  • Design and create visual graphics for disability training materials.

Time commitment: Part-time, minimum of 10 hours per week. Hours are flexible but we do ask for a consistent schedule.

Location: Remote work environment, but may include some in-person work sessions if proximity allows (metro/southeastern MN).
