We're looking for Farmer's Market Manager!

We seek a smart, driven leader who will manage our weekly Free Produce Distribution. Feed Our Soul is a non-profit organization bringing access to fresh and local food to families in need. We have provide 2,000 lbs of produce weekly. Our market runs every Friday at 2pm.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee on-site farmers' market event FRIDAY ONLY
- Set up and take down market supplies (Signage, unloading boxes, crowd management etc.)
- Market Ambassador: facilitate volunteer schedule of pick-ups
- Remain onsite during market hours (1.5 hours outside)
- Perform administrative functions such as communications and tallying load sheets
- Marketing and Advertising: Send reminders of the market to local community organizations each week
- Maintain positive relations with both vendors and customers by responding to needs and troubleshooting problems
- Communicate and report directly to Supervisor

- A+ customer service skills (a true people person).
- Community building is a key to success. Other pluses include experience w/ marketing, local food system, event management.
- Must be able to handle the elements as we are a rain or shine year-round market.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Trustworthy, dependable and hardworking people-person.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Team player with ability to take direction and work independently.
- Driver's License (Required)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Compensation. Pending a 2 month trial period.

Schedule: 5 hour shift - Fridays ONLY (11am to 4pm)

COVID-19 considerations: To keep our managers safe, we require face masks, gloves, Hand Sanitizing stations for managers and customers. We actively promote responsible social distancing.

Mission Statement

Feed Our Soul is a movement for the community bringing homegrown produce directly to food desert neighborhoods. We provide a safe space for students to learn about gardening, as well as cooking their own produce. By cultivating food onsite through hydroponic technology, the harvest is 100% locally sourced, while using sustainable resources to reduce harmful emissions and protecting the planet. Our nutritional program focuses on students learning to grow, eat, share and connect through a direct and natural food supply.


Feed Our Soul is a restorative organization. Our mission is to provide direct access to fresh produce for those who need it the most. We install hydroponic gardens into food desert neighborhoods and teach community members how to cook their homegrown produce. Our programs teach skills on gardening and culinary arts, bring a network of experts on nutritional literacy workshops and plus numerous restorative justice events to communities in South LA. You have the opportunity to give the gift of health! These soul-utions to the wellness disparity gives innovative, aeroponic gardens to schools, churches and families suffering from food insecurity.
