Marguerite Montgomery Elementary

Please join us as we provide free food to those in need in the Davis area. Volunteers will assist with the setup and breakdown of the food distribution at Marguerite Montgomery Elementary School in Davis, serving children and families of the school as well as members of the public. Volunteers will also assist in sorting and inspecting all food products, preparing food bags, and loading the bags into clients' vehicles.

Qualifications:

  • Bring Your Own Mask/Face Covering
  • Must pass background check (YFB will cover the cost)
  • Responsible and Organized
  • Wear closed toed shoes
  • Ages: 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Able to stand, bend, reach, intermittently*
  • Able to lift 20-25 pounds routinely and 5-45 pounds occasionally often with another person

Description

Yolo Food Bank is looking for caring, responsible, and respectful individuals or groups to help provide folks in our community with ongoing access to healthy foods. We are currently looking for volunteers to fill slots volunteering at distribution sites around Yolo County with socially distanced and contactless drive-thru and pick-up distributions. We also need volunteers to work on-site at Yolo Food Bank repackaging dry product, organizing boxes of food for residents in need, and assisting warehouse procedures.
