Housing Forward

We have new opportunities in our new Interim Housing Program! Located in Oak Park, IL, our new facility will house up to 90 clients. We are excited about this new venture that will continue our mission to transition people from a housing crisis to housing stability. We need volunteers who share this same passion and enthusiasm and help our clients as they make this transition.

Monitor and Client Needs

Be the first point of contact and face of the new Interim Housing Program!

Front desk monitor duties include, but not limited to:

  • Great incoming guests, check-in
  • Monitor cameras
  • Organize supplies and donations
  • Light administrative tasks
  • Receive and store meal deliveries
  • Answer client questions

Duties for Client Needs Assistants include, but are not limited to:

  • Fielding client concerns
  • Reporting on larger needs that need to be addressed
  • Assisting clients in rooms

5 Shifts

  • 09:00 AM to 11:30 AM
  • 11:30 AM to 03:00 PM
  • 03:00 PM to 05:30 PM
  • 05:30 PM to 07:30 PM
  • 07:30 PM to 10:30 PM

Since 1992, we have transformed the lives of more than 11,000 people by helping them meet their immediate housing and crisis needs, addressing their health and income needs and transitioning them back to housing stability. Today, we’re having long-term impact on the communities of west Cook County by 1.) preventing the loss of housing before it occurs, 2.) alleviating the need for long-term shelter, 3.) moving people into sustainable permanent housing solutions and 4.) improving housing retention.
