We are the supporting organization for a small, K-8 Christian school supporting a diverse community. Our student body is comprised of over 50% minority students. Over 30% of our students are receiving need-based financial aid because they live at or near the poverty line.
Our low student to teacher ratio is helping us address the educational and spiritual needs of each individual student, and they are finding success as they move on to high school; however, we have a few students this year in whose homes English is not spoken. We would like to better serve these students with a part-time, ESL/ELL program in the school. We are looking for an experienced ESL/ELL specialist to spend roughly 8-10 hours in our school helping students who are struggling because of language difficulties.
