ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity Triangle ReStores

Do you love talking to people and convincing them to spend their money -- on new and gently used furniture, building materials, appliances and more? Are you friendly and good with numbers? Sign up to be a cashier at our Cary ReStore!

We are looking for volunteer cashiers to ring up sales and occasionally answer the phone any morning Tuesday - Saturday.

Experience is a plus but not mandatory.. After your orientation and store tour we will get you scheduled for your first shift. We do ask Cashier volunteers to commit to one shift per week.

Our current needs

Tuesday - Friday 10am to 2pm

Saturday 9am to 1pm

The Triangle ReStores sell new and used donated items to the public at reasonable prices. The money they raise helps build affordable Habitat for Humanity homes in Durham, Johnston, Orange and Wake counties. These homes are built in partnership with volunteers and homeowner families.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Experience is a plus but not mandatory.. After your orientation and store tour we will get you scheduled for your first shift. We do ask Cashier volunteers to commit to one shift per week.
  • Volunteers, staff, donors and shoppers are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth and social distance at least 6' while in the store. Volunteers must answer COVID screening questions before the start of their shift.
