Fallen Heroes Foundation helps financially the families of volunteer firefighters killed in the line of duty. Volunteer Firefighters do not have the death benefits like career firefighters do. Even more, they have full time jobs to support their family. When a death occurs, the family is left with the bills and no money coming in to support them. That’s where we come in. We want to take the burden off and help them with their mortgage.
I started this foundation based on my experience after a life changing accident. To see my story, please visit www.fallenheroesfoundation.org

Mission Statement
We want to help the families of Volunteer Firefighters killed in the line of duty with their mortgage
Description
Three years ago, my family and I were involved in a serious accident that left us with permanent injuries. I am the Safety Officer and Chaplain of the Milton Engine Company in NY. Because of my injuries, I was unable to walk and see properly for 7 months. Being a volunteer firefighter, I also had a full-time job to support my family. My injuries left me unable to work and as a result, no paycheck was coming in. My fire department took care of my family and myself by paying my mortgage for 5 months. They saved our home while we recovered.Recently, I started this foundation to give back. We are raising money to help the families of Volunteer Firefighters killed in the line of duty.
As volunteers, we don't have the death benefits others do. To make it worse, the family now has one less paycheck coming in. That's where we come in.
I/we are a very small charity just starting out. Any help would be eternally grateful!
