The Civic Circle advances civic learning through music and the arts, and seeks a Treasurer to serve as an officer on our Board of Directors. This vital position will put you at the heart of a growing organization with a mission that is more relevant than ever. This is a great opportunity for someone who cares about democracy and civic learning, and who would like to join a board that seeks to adhere to the highest standards of nonprofit governance. The ideal candidate will have prior board experience and live in or have a connection to Montgomery County, MD and/or the greater Washington region.

The Treasurer spends several hours per year creating quarterly updates for the board, creating a budget, and preparing state and federal filings. The Treasurer would also attend all board meetings.
The ideal candidate will have prior board experience, have an interest in education, the arts and civic learning, and have a connection to Montgomery County, Maryland, and/or the Greater Washington, D.C. area.
