The Civic Circle advances civic learning through music and the arts, and seeks a Treasurer to serve as an officer on our Board of Directors. This vital position will put you at the heart of a growing organization with a mission that is more relevant than ever. This is a great opportunity for someone who cares about democracy and civic learning, and who would like to join a board that seeks to adhere to the highest standards of nonprofit governance. The ideal candidate will have prior board experience and live in or have a connection to Montgomery County, MD and/or the greater Washington region.

The Civic Circle is a Silver Spring, Maryland-based nonprofit in formation that will bring civics alive for very young children with music and drama shared in assembly and after-school programs.

- Must be at least 22
- The Treasurer spends several hours per year creating quarterly updates for the board, creating a budget, and preparing state and federal filings. The Treasurer would also attend all board meetings.
- The ideal candidate will have prior board experience, have an interest in education, the arts and civic learning, and have a connection to Montgomery County, Maryland, and/or the Greater Washington, D.C. area.
