Thank you for considering an opportunity with Intellectual Practice Learning. Please send all required items listed below to ask@rebeccaeverlene.org. To learn more about our company, please visit our website or Google us at http://www.rebeccaeverlene.org

GRADE REPORTS AND RESUMES

To qualify for the position, please send us a grade report or resume showing that you have proficiencied in this subject and are ready to hit the ground running. Students who come to us often need immediate attention and we want to be able to provide them with on-the-spot learning. Hours are flexible for you. Tell us when you are available and we work around your schedule.

CALENDLY ELECTRONIC SCHEDULING

In addition to the grade report, please log onto Calendly.com and create a profile. Once you do this, please email us the link, along with your other items, so that students and parents are able to view your availability. If ever you need to make a change to the schedule, you would make it on your end and the information will populate for us real time.

RAPID RESPONSE

Tutors are required to respond to a request for work within two hours. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to begin to tutoring at that very moment, but rapid response to the inquiry provides us with the necessary lead time required to secure the job for you.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

We also need a working phone number for you, a short bio consisting of one paragraph and at the very least, a photo for the website. We are also requesting a video from you that can be under one minute long verbally authenticating your bio. The video is not required, but will assist us with meeting ADA requirements for the deaf, dumb and illiterate. If you do record a video, please make sure that you look as polished as possible and that you have a nice backdrop.

SESSION SPECS

Sessions can be scheduled for as short as 30 minutes and as long as 5 to 8 hours, as long as you agree to that specific length of time. We ask that you spend at least 30 minutes to 1 hour prepping for your session with the student. If you are only able to meet with the student for 30 minutes, and they want to meet for longer than that, we can assign the rest of the time to another tutor, but you will still have your 30 minutes. In addition to opportunities with an individual schedule, once a week, you will be required to cover a specific shift and be available online for that amount of time, regardless of whether you have a student assigned to you.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

As a tutor, you have the ability to contribute to the design of your sessions by suggesting exercises and readings for the student to complete prior to your meeting. Sessions can consist of homework help, precanned learning sessions that we create for the individual that consist of readings and additional problems, and for younger children, play-based learning experiences.

MEETING PLATFORMS

Meetings can be scheduled over the platform of your choice. You can use Zoom, Google Meets, Instagram, Facebook, Skype, Hopin, and even Facetime.

THANK YOU

Of course some of the aforementioned items are negotiable, but some of them aren’t. Please let us know if there is anything that you are absolutely opposed to and we will try to accommodate you. Please send all required items listed above and any questions to ask@rebeccaeverlene.org.
