COVID-19 Virtual Tutoring Solution for Underprivileged Children

Quick Overview: Tutors are needed to support underprivileged children online with core courses, such as reading and math. Online tutor sessions will be 90 minutes each based on your availability during the week. Mission or Broader Program Description: Joseph Learning Lab is an educational outreach nonprofit organization. We are on a mission to close the learning gap, reduce the dropout rate, and develop students of all ages and diverse backgrounds by allowing them an equal opportunity for learning and personal growth. We tutor and mentor underprivileged children, who are being left behind the learning curve. Impact: Volunteers will help students in elementary school with homework and core courses so they can grasp learning concepts to improve their confidence, grades and test scores. Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: Volunteers will tutor children in 3rd - 6th grade with the use of Google Classroom/Meet tutoring sessions. The tutor sessions will be based on your availability for 90 minute sessions each. Requirements: Volunteers are expected to complete an application/background check process before tutoring with JLL.
