And every time you volunteer, you'll receive a free perk from a local business! Perks include ice cream, meals, beer, and more - the first volunteer in October to volunteer 4 or more times, will receive a special prize!

We are piloting a Shared Streets program in Hayes Valley to help local restaurants and small businesses with additional open-air space to operate.

Every Friday (4pm-10pm), Saturday (10am-10pm) and Sunday (10am-10pm), Hayes Street will be closed to cars between Franklin and Laguna.

SFMTA requires volunteers at each intersection to help move barricades in case an emergency vehicle needs to get through. We are also providing masks and sanitizer to make sure people are following social distancing guidelines. Have fun and meet your neighbors! It's a wonderful volunteer experience.
Organizations, City departments, campaigns, and artists are welcome to sign up for a slot, set up an information table, sell their work, and/or outreach to the public! Please sign up if you are interested or email volunteer@hayesvalleysf.org for more information.

Shifts will be in 3 hour blocks and we need 3-5 spots for each slot:

- Friday: 4pm-7pm, 7-10pm
- Saturday/Sunday: 10am-1pm, 1-4pm, 4-7pm & 7-10pm.
