GRANT WRITER

Sea Save Foundation has been doing a superlative job developing campaigns and content, but to keep building, move forward, and grow we need the assistance of a grant writer.

The grant writer researches, identifies, strategizes, and writes grants to fund our organization. comb through our website and after a few meetings with our director be able to target and write appropriate grants. Sea Save Foundation has a GrantStation subscription.

This person works closely with our Director and Assistant Director.

The perfect candidate would have:

• Experience researching and writing grants
• Experience with conservation or ocean-related causes
• Outstanding communication skills, articulate, with superior relationship and outreach/marketing skills
• Personable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative
• Ambitious self-starter

Responsibilities:

• Research potential grants
• Identify corporate partners, create pitch materials, manage outreach and relationships
• Write grants and request supporting documentation from staff
• Manage to grant calendar with specific deadlines
• Complete grant applications on time
• Write and compile documentation as required by grant

This is an independent position in the long run, but we require substantial orientation from the initial start (First 2-3 weeks).

We need the perfect candidate to have blocks of time 1 minimum up to 3 hours between Monday to Friday 10am-4pm PST to get you going and understand our requirements and background.
