The YMCA Social Impact Center operates a variety of housing programs for young people experiencing homelessness across King County. The holidays offer an opportunity for community members to participate in our giving tree to support the youth and young adults in our transitional, permanent supportive and shelter housing programs.
Our mission is simple: To accelerate young people's ability to build safe, successful and happy lives.
The Y Social Impact Center offer services at dozens of program sites in Seattle and King County, building stronger community as part of the YMCA of Greater Seattle’s family of branches and camps. Since 1973, the Y Social Impact Center (formerly Accelerator and Metrocenter) has been a catalyst for sparking young people to build self-confidence, resilience and hope, and to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
The Social Impact Center provides a full spectrum of programming that engages young people from different socioeconomic backgrounds and life experiences. 40 years and counting, the Y continues to provide innovative opportunities for youth to become healthier, make better choices, participate in life-changing leadership experiences, and create stronger communities.
