ORGANIZATION: Bay Area Green Tours

Technical Web/App Support Volunteer

Bay Area Green Tours is a non-profit organization that creates interactive tours and experiences highlighting the sustainable economy in action to inspire and educate youth and adults to build a more enduring, resilient, and just future.

We're a grassroots operation reinventing ourselves by moving from in-person tours to virtual green tours. We are a ~20-person volunteer-based organization for now, but we are building for the future by applying to grants and beginning outreach to corporations who want to sponsor our programs and/or buy virtual team building tours. We just redesigned our website and streamlined our operations with a committed, fun, and sharp team of interns and volunteers.

We are looking for a volunteer to provide technical support for our team and manage website updates and changes. This volunteer will be the primary person to research and maintain apps such as Google Suite, Zoom, and our Flipcause/Weebly website platform, and will also assist the team in troubleshooting technical issues with apps.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support across the organization, acting as a first point of contact for team members for minor computer, app issues
  • Troubleshooting software and app issues with a focus on Google Suite and Zoom
  • Responding in a timely manner to all IT issues and requests via Slack
  • Making changes on our Flipcause website as requested by the team
  • Owning all communications with Flipcause regarding updates and changes

We are looking for someone who has experience with troubleshooting technical issues, enjoys problem solving, is responsive and communicative, and is excited to work with passionate change-makers at an environmental nonprofit!

To be considered for this opportunity, please send your resume to hr@bayareagreentours.org.

Thank you!
