Mission: We use soccer as a vehicle for transformative impact, supporting under-served youth and families with the tools to overcome obstacles to success; nurturing their talents and passions by providing resources, opportunities, and relationships towards a brighter future.
The Global FC Mentor position is a big brother or sister committed to guiding and supporting First Generation Immigrant and Refugee youth. Become a life changing voice in the life of an inspiring youth and watch your life be transformed through this rich intercultural experience.
The Mentor must be a voice of support and a positive role model for the mentee. The role will also require the Mentor to become aware of the individual needs and issues of the youth. He or she may be asked to work on certain aspects of a specific young person’s development, while understanding the unique challenges refugee youth face in their new home country.
During COVID19 and the switch to virtual learning, students are experiencing isolation and loneliness. The power of genuine relationships is evident now more than ever before!
