Do you have experience or interest in logistics, warehousing, or supply chains? The American Red Cross Utah/Nevada Region needs a regional lead to help us manage our logistics program. Disaster relief operations require a large amount of material to be successful, and with this particularly active hurricane and wildfire season, this is an even greater need. You'll work closely with a team of volunteers and paid staff members to ensure our logistics program is able to meet the needs of those affected by disaster here in Utah and across the country.
The majority of this work can be done virtually.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure assigned volunteers have appropriate supervision, training as required for the assigned function, and evaluation of performance in completing assignments.
Provide oversight of the deployment, management, administration of material resources within the region.
Assign and supervise Leaders to the major activities of Logistics - Material Support: Facility Management; In-Kind Donations; Life Safety and Asset Protection; Procurement; Supply; Transportation; and Warehousing.
Manage material resources directives for assigned programs/services and ensure resources provided are appropriate and align to meet the service delivery requirements.
Attend and conduct meetings and briefings for internal and external constituents as appropriate.
