Do you have experience or interest in logistics, warehousing, or supply chains? The American Red Cross Utah/Nevada Region needs a regional lead to help us manage our logistics program. Disaster relief operations require a large amount of material to be successful, and with this particularly active hurricane and wildfire season, this is an even greater need. You'll work closely with a team of volunteers and paid staff members to ensure our logistics program is able to meet the needs of those affected by disaster here in Nevada and across the country.
Ensure assigned volunteers have appropriate supervision, training as required for the assigned function, and evaluation of performance in completing assignments.
Provide oversight of the deployment, management, administration of material resources within the region.
Assign and supervise Leaders to the major activities of Logistics - Material Support: Facility Management; In-Kind Donations; Life Safety and Asset Protection; Procurement; Supply; Transportation; and Warehousing.
Manage material resources directives for assigned programs/services and ensure resources provided are appropriate and align to meet the service delivery requirements.
Attend and conduct meetings and briefings for internal and external constituents as appropriate.
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Every single day, the American Red Cross helps people in emergencies. Whether its one displaced family, thousands of disaster victims, or providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran or support to a military family member, our vital work is made possible by people like you. It is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
