We are looking for local citizens to help their volunteer firefighters.
Volunteer firefighters not only respond to all emergencies in your town, but they have full-time careers outside of the firehouse.
Unfortunately, their heroism is sometimes met with tragedy and lives are lost. As a result, not only does the family lose a loved one, they are faced with insurmountable bills and face unbelievable hardship.
Fallen Heroes Foundation is a 501c3 that helps the families of volunteer firefighters killed in the line of duty. When a line of duty death occurs, we are immediately on a plane/train or by car enroute to the families home. We will provide them IMMEDIATE financial assistance to help heal and get back on their feet.
We need people who are willing to ask their family/friends to contribute to our cause and be part of our volunteer team.
Criteria includes:
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to help your local firefighters
The number of hours required to help is up to you. We will work around your schedule.
By being part of our team, the family will receive a complete roster of our volunteers so they know who stepped up to help them.

Description
Three years ago, my family and I were involved in a serious accident that left us with permanent injuries. I am the Safety Officer and Chaplain of the Milton Engine Company in NY. Because of my injuries, I was unable to walk and see properly for 7 months. Being a volunteer firefighter, I also had a full-time job to support my family. My injuries left me unable to work and as a result, no paycheck was coming in. My fire department took care of my family and myself by paying my mortgage for 5 months. They saved our home while we recovered.Recently, I started this foundation to give back. We are raising money to help the families of Volunteer Firefighters killed in the line of duty.
As volunteers, we don't have the death benefits others do. To make it worse, the family now has one less paycheck coming in. That's where we come in.
