Alzheimer's Association Virtual Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who provide Alzheimer's Association education programs through virtual platforms to community audiences and collaborate with local Association staff to expand programs by securing community partners.

All program volunteer participate in initial training and ongoing education and must comply with Alzheimer's Association volunteer policies and procedures.

Description

We provide programs and services to those with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia and their families. The Western New York Chapter serves all eight counties of WNY including Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming. We provide care consultations, a 24-hour helpline (1.800.272.3900), safety services, early stage programs, and education programs for caregivers, healthcare professionals and the general public. The Alzheimer's Association is also the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research. Together, we are elevating research, public policy, and awareness to unprecedented levels in pursuit of better treatments, a cure of a way to prevent Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
