Are you looking for a way to volunteer for someone while social distancing? Then this opportunity is perfect for you and your family and friends to help. With summer ending, there is a lot of need for yard care. Please have your own yard tools to prevent any spread of germs. We can provide masks, gloves and leaf bags, if needed.
For further social distancing precautions, no more than 2-4 volunteers will be assigned to each yard; but families of larger groups may stay together. Keep in mind, however, that most yards are fairly small and may not be able to accommodate more than 2-4 people.
Time and Day of your service is determined upon YOUR AVAILABILITY.

About Volunteer Services of Snohomish County

Join us today! Interact and engage with isolated individuals by assisting with household tasks or by providing transportation for those who are unable to drive themselves to medical appointments or errands. Work individually or with others to assist someone in need with larger, one-day projects. Volunteer Services of Snohomish County assisted over 350 individuals in 2014 by providing over 18,000 hours in volunteer work. "You are helping me to be independent and to be able to stay in my home - what a blessing that is." -- Mary, current client
Volunteer Chore Services (VCS) began in 1981 as a grassroots response to State-wide budget cuts that left 4,000 elders without chore services. Over the years VCS has proven itself to be a cost-effective safety net for those who do not qualify for the State's assistance and cannot afford to purchase services.
Volunteers opportunities such as housework, laundry, transportation, shopping and similar independent living requests enable clients to remain in their homes with dignity and a sense of belonging to their community.
