Our volunteers are as diverse as our community. They come from all walks of life with various interest and skill levels. We have a variety of opportunities to suit everyone.

-working the crisis line ( very simple)
-care for companion animals
-mentoring
-shelter maintenance
-raising funds
-gathering or donating essentials for direct victim services
-training and education
-promoting community awareness
-clerical and administrative assistance

For those impacted by Domestic violence,dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, DCDV is the catalyst for change, utilizing the empowerment model. We are committed to providing the resources and direction necessary to ensure safety, healing and the prevention of further violence.

Description

We are committed to help victims impacted by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. We are currently able to provide shelter, meals, transportation, safety planning, and hold support groups for women and children at our office. Volunteers are a crucial part of our program and do receive essential training.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Our office is available from 8am-5pm monday through friday so 90% of the volunteering duties would be in that time schedule. our crisis line volunteers take over after 5pm starting thursday for 1 week.
  • You are only required to be 18 yrs or older if you are wanting to work or Crisis line. We welcome people 18 yrs and younger if they would like to assist with anything else!
