NAAAP-Chicago is seeking volunteers for our Women in NAAAP Program. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience for a career in Program Management by accomplishing independent tasks. We seek a highly organized and self-motivated individual who thrives with minimal supervision, takes initiative, and embraces new challenges. This person will play a key role in elevating the NAAAP brand, driving meaningful impact within the Asian American community. We are looking for dedicated, visionary leaders who are passionate about making a positive and lasting difference. This is primarily a virtual opportunity, with some on-site components. If you do not currently reside in Chicago, familiarity with the city is required to participate. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Attend regular program meetings.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of tasks and projects.
  • Plan events and activities that support the program’s mission.
  • Manage long-term goals and track key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other committees as needed, including social media, marketing, and more.

The Chicago chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), Pan-Asian American professional organization that promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields through networking, respecting Asian multi-culturalism, and supporting diversity and community service.

NAAAP is the largest and fastest growing Asian American professional organization in the U.S. and Canada. Through its committees, members can participate in many activities that joins other Asian American professionals in community service, cultural awareness, and professional development.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • 2-4 hours per week on average. Some months may be more or less than others.
  • We are seeking long-term volunteers with a minimum commitment of six months. Volunteers must be able to attend committee meetings and events. At this time, we are only considering applicants residing within the United States.
