The Youth Mentoring Program matches volunteer mentors with refugees ages 15 to 24 to lend support to their educational and career goals. Mentors help refugees feel more welcome in their new home and guide them as they become accustomed to life in the Las Vegas community.
Volunteers are needed to:
Commit to one year of mentoring
Mentor youth for two hours a week
Support the youth’s long-term educational and career goals
Help with a wide variety of life skills, including:
completing applications for jobs and educational programs
English conversation practice
exploring financial aid and scholarship opportunities
participating in social and civic engagement
Interested volunteers are asked to:
