Position Title

Demo Videos Team Member / Digital Literacy Team Member


Purpose

Did you know that many adults are struggling to use their smartphones, set up an email, and search the internet. Reading Connections is microcasting short demonstration videos in a series to help adult students to increase their digital literacy skills and more fully recognize their potential as individuals, employees, and citizens.

Responsibilities

  • Create short (2-5 minute) demonstration videos in the following areas:
    • Smart Device Features
    • Operating Systems
    • Internet
    • Email
    • GCS Programming
    • App such as Zoom, WhatsApp

Qualifications

  • Tech Savvy
  • Ideal for Computer Science major
  • Service-minded
  • Enthusiastic video creating/editing
  • At least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or its equivalent

Time Commitment

15-30 hours per semester

1-2 hours per week
