Help give Children a Christmas - The Salvation Army

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The Salvation Army of Summit County

The Salvation Army does more than just ring bells at Christmas time. It also helps to provide Christmas joy to children and their families through our Angel Tree and Create-a-Christmas programs.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare for these two big services!

Here are some dates we currently need volunteers for:
12/10 - table set up (time TBA)
12/11 - Angel Tree truck drop offs - unload toys from the trucks
12/21 - Angel Tree distribution - families come to pick up gifts as volunteers load them into vehicles
- three shifts (9:30-1, 12:45-4:30, 4:15-7:15)
12/22 - Create-A-Christmas drop off (1-6pm)
12/23 - Create-A-Christmas pick-up (10-3pm)

All events are held at 2207 Romig Road which is where our warehouse is located. The majority of the set up will serve like a "drive-in" where families will check-in and volunteers will gather items to load from the warehouse to the vehicles.

Everything will be socially distant and Covid-19 protected for families, volunteers and staff.

If you would like to serve the families of Summit County in this Christmas season please let us know through this website or by contacting John Kasler, Volunteer Coordinator at john.kasler@use.salvationarmy.org.

Thank you!
