We are the Down Syndrome Association of Brevard, formerly known as Families Exploring Down Syndrome of Brevard, Inc.
We are currently accepting applications for board members to begin January 2021.
Most board terms are for three (3) years but 1- and 2-year terms are also available.
Monthly time commitment is about 4-6 hours and all board members are expected to serve as community ambassadors as well as to make an annual donation to the organization to the best of their ability.
The time commitment includes one (1) monthly board meeting for 1.5 hours plus any committee work (such as fundraising, programs, audit, Buddy Walk, etc.)
In April 2020 the board completed a strategic plan and our top priority is to engage additional and diverse board members. It is NOT a requirement to have a loved one with Down syndrome.
Targeted (but not limited to) areas of expertise: marketing/PR, legal, financial, technology, human resources.
