About the Role:

Read Write Discover is searching for a highly-motivated volunteer Public Engagement Associate to help us create upcoming events! If you love to plan events and connect with others, keep reading!

Read Write Discover’s volunteer Public Engagement Associate will plan and execute events to increase public awareness and engagement for RWD. We’re looking for a results-driven individual who is excited to increase the presence of RWD in our communities.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Execute our engagement strategy alongside our Program Lead, Community Engagement

  • Set up and thoughtfully plan out all engagement events and build out a monthly event calendar

  • Work collaboratively with our marketing team to execute on virtual marketing strategies to increase attendees

  • Utilize creativity in helping to plan new events

  • Employ various techniques to reach organizational and team goals

What we're looking for:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to achieve results

  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate well with different groups of people

  • Understand and play to the intended audience or demographic for events

  • Great written and verbal communication skills

  • Junior in high school or above

RWD's work is grounded in equity and youth leadership.
