Lutheran Services Florida - Refugee and Immigration is looking for mentors who will mentor refugee clients (mostly Spanish and Haitian), ages 15-24 to promote positive civic and social engagement and support individual educational and vocational advancement.

During these times of COVID-19, mentoring can be done via phone, Skype, Face Time, Zoom, GotoMeeting, Microsoft Team Meeting or any other virtual platform.

We ask that mentors devote 3 hours per month for a twelve month period.

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is a statewide, non-profit, human services agency dedicated to helping all people in need regardless of religious affiliation, age or national origin. Headquartered in Tampa, the agency has more than 60 programs located throughout Florida. Since LSF was established in 1982, nearly 900,000 children and families have received assistance from vital LSF services including: the Child Care Food Program, Head Start and Early Head Start, Foster Care and Adoptions Case Management, Youth Shelters and Family Crisis Counseling Programs, Guardianship Program, Housing, Employment, Refugee and Immigration Programs, Ryan White AIDS Program, and Disaster Response Programs for victims of tornadoes, hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters.
