Do you enjoy social media and have a love for thrift fashion?

Community Threads resale store in Arlington Heights is looking for individuals who are not camera shy and would enjoy showcasing fall fashions from our resale store. Our "Resale Representatives" help us to increase social media engagement by helping us create content. You can choose your wardrobe from our huge selection of items! No purchase necessary in order to be featured on our social media.

By increasing our engagement, we can further support our local non-profit, Home of the Sparrow. Home of the Sparrow aids women and children as they journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

Masks are required in the store and photos are taken by one of our store managers. These photos are featured on our Instagram and Facebook page. We are happy to tag our "Resale Representatives" in our posts to exchange engagement. A signed photo release statement is required.

Days and times are flexible! We are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-5pm. Interested? Contact Emily at cthreadsvolunteers@gmail.com to get started!

Mission Statement

Community Threads is a nonprofit ministry that makes grants and runs programs supporting education and the relief of poverty.

Community Threads brings together a network of local ministries to help the homeless and underserved in our community through the operation of a nonprofit thrift store. The store provides a way for these ministries, our donors and shoppers to make a difference in these tough times. Through your donations of quality goods, Community Threads is able to provide the best stuff at the lowest possible price to shoppers on a budget and then return all the profits back to our communities for much needed services.

All profits from the store go directly to provide quality education to needy students, shelter for the abused and homeless, addiction recovery programs and other critical services right here where we live. We welcome new volunteers into the store. Sign up for our e-newsletter for special coupons and store news.
