Art, Health & Healing (AHNH) is a Maryland-based nonprofit created in response to the need to increase arts’ engagement in healthcare spaces. It is our mission to promote healing through art. We seek to create a world where art is used to catalyze healing, working in conjunction with medical needs in order to provide high-need individuals with the expressive outlet needed to process and better their health conditions. Art, Health & Healing coordinates with local health care facilities, providers, patient educators, students, advocates, gallery owners, and community settings to effectively provide art-therapy workshops, health awareness/education fairs, and art gallery installations in order to support the holistic health of individuals with chronic illness in Maryland.

What if you had to endure kidney failure and a 9-year healing process including a transplant? and what if you discovered along the way that you can use the powerful energy obtained in good art for your own healing, simply by allowing yourself to experience and participate in it?

Paul w. Braswell, RN is living proof that the arts heal. During his 9-year journey he discovered that the arts could enliven the happiness so often buried by serious life challenges. so often buried by serious life challenges. He founded AH&H to offer that opportunity to chronically ill patients. Makes sense, doesn't it?. a 2019 5013c nonprofit, AH&H s working with health care professionals to transform their institutional settings with hands-on arts education virtual exhibitions.
