Description : JaxTHRIVE is a youth-led, non-profit organization with a mission to educate and inspire refugee and low-income children. For this 2024-5 opportunity, we are looking for a well-spoken, organized person to coordinate and manage our school clubs. JaxTHRIVE is located in Jacksonville, FL, but we have clubs in other states and countries.

How does the program work?
Each fall, new JaxTHRIVE clubs are formed by our volunteers. We are looking for a volunteer to coordinate the activities and communication amongst these clubs. Ideally, this JaxTHRIVE Club Manager would have strong communication and organizational skills and could help design and coordinate activities that all JaxTHRIVE clubs could participate in separately and/or together. This manager would be in regular communication with the club officers and would hold monthly Zoom meetings.

As the JaxTHRIVE Club Manager, you will:

• Set up a meeting to introduce yourself to each JaxTHRIVE club’s officers (we currently have about 5 clubs)
• Plan an introductory Zoom meeting to introduce all club officers.
• Plan, coordinate and facilitate monthly Zoom meetings with all club officers to discuss plans, troubleshoot challenges and coordinate activities.
• Use your creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to help plan new club events.
• Expand your global network by meeting new people and making new friends.
• Assume a leadership role in our nonprofit organization.
• Prepare for your future career by gaining valuable resume-building experience.

To participate, you must :

• Volunteer for a minimum of 1 hour per week.
• Be fluent in both written and spoken English.
