POUDRE RIVER FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
We have an opening for Assistant Treasurer for Poudre River Friends of the Library. The right person would have an opportunity to work with our current Treasurer until her term is up in December 2021 and then they would move into that position.
Our volunteer board directs our efforts to raise money to benefit our Poudre Libraries. Normally (in non-pandemic times!) we stage four book sales a year. The Treasurer tracks our financial operations and presents a monthly report to the Board, pays bills and rent expenses, completes and submits tax returns and documents and monitors our bank accounts, among other duties.
The Assistant Treasurer picks up the mail, makes bank deposits, and scans new member forms to send out for data base entry. During book sales, both have additional duties having to do with the sale cash boxes.
Our Assistant Treasurer usually spends less than 2 hours a week on the described duties. Our financial reports are in an Excel spreadsheet format. Applicants need to have a familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures and experience with the Excel program. All board members are required to undergo a background check.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
