Blue Ridge Humane Society's (Spay Neuter Incentive Program) Assistant Volunteers are responsible for assisting the SNIP Coordinator with various aspects of SNIP. SNIP provides spay/neuter surgery to any animal belonging to an owner who resides in Henderson County. The cost of surgery is $10 to the owner. This fee includes a rabies vaccination if the animal is in need of one.

Below is the current SNIP Assistant Position available:

  • SNIP Assistant Check out and Clean-up Volunteer: Assists with returning animals to their owners after surgery and clean-up throughout the process
    • Friday 9:15 am - 11 am

The Blue Ridge Humane Society offers a variety of volunteer opportunities from assisting in our Adoption Center, Thrift Store, and with Community Programs! If you are a dog or cat lover, we are looking for driven individuals who are believe in ensuring the highest quality of life for animals in Henderson County. There are so many pieces that go into fulfilling our mission from adoption, prevention, and education and we need volunteers throughout every step of the way!
