ORGANIZATION: BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA

Responsible for recruiting and training of District Finance Committee Chairs. Meet with Chairs
monthly and report to the District Chair any activities related to the finance function. Responsible for
securing the funding necessary for delivering a quality program experience for the youth and adults of
Alameda District.

Ensure implementation of district finance policies.

Support the district’s fund raising campaigns.

Inform units of unit financing policy.

Review units' funding project applications.

Retain interest of Friends of Scouting (FOS) Family and community.

Develop prospects for FOS.

Encourage participation in family phase of FOS.

Support council "endowment fund" promotion

Achieve district's share of council finance campaign.

Support district activities that involve income and expenses, assuring proper policy and audit control.
