The Social Media Assistant will play an important part in the Library’s presence on Facebook and Twitter. They will work with the Social Media Chair-Person in identifying, conceptualizing, designing and posting content toward the goal of increasing followers, boosting engagement, educating and informing the Library’s audience about services and programs offered, promoting fundraising events, as well as posting relevant entertaining content.
Additionally, the Assistant will support with providing month-end reviews highlighting areas of interest and growth, as well as presenting their strategies and planning for the months ahead.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

The friendly person at the circulation desk is a volunteer, programs are coordinated and provided by volunteers, our Library Manager, the Library’s Governing Board are volunteers as well!

A willingness to learn, good communication and organizational skills with attention to details, the ability to research/source topics, and computer proficiency. An ability to produce graphics for posts is a plus but not required.
