Chinese Theatre Works is an award-winning non-profit cultural organization, based in Long Island City, New York City. Our mission is to preserve and promote the traditional Chinese performing arts (including opera, shadow theatre, puppetry, dance and music); to create new theatrical works that bridge Eastern and Western aesthetics and forms; and to foster understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture in audiences, students, artists and educators around the globe. We are looking for highly motivated interns who are energetic and full of creative ideas to join our team. Candidates should be able to work comfortably in a group, be adept at multi-tasking and have an eagerness to learn the inner workings of the non-profit cultural field.


Responsibilities:

Help monitor various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and youtube.

Create and curate engaging content for online platforms.

Edit videos and pictures and post it on social media.

Description

We have performed at high profile venues including Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Museum of the Arts and various colleges and arts institutions around the country. We have also presented our works at many international arts festival.
