Camp Summit is currently seeking volunteers for our Boots & Bandana’s committee. This event raises funds to provide financial assistance for our campers to attend camp. Our 2020 event will be a virtual event and will require many volunteers ahead for the event.

The volunteer duties will focus on the 2 main areas - Sponsorship solicitation and Auction solicitation.

Sponsorships:

Generally, this will involve phone calls to follow-up with potential sponsors and past sponsors to explain the new format and take their commitment for 2020. We will also need help identifying new sponsors and getting the word out to a broader group of folks who may want to attend the virtual program. Approx. 5 to 6 calls a week.

Auction:

This will again be phone calls to follow-up to the letters asking for items for our auction. We also need some fresh ideas and contacts to add some new and fun experiences to our auction so brainstorming will definitely be on the list of tasks. This group could also help with pick-up and staging the items for photos for the online auction display.

There may be some crossover for each group, but this is generally what we need. We also discuss and get opinions from the whole group on logistical needs etc. during the calls.

The time commitment will begin next week until November 5 th with a short zoom call every 2 to 3 weeks. In between, each volunteer spends about 2 hours a week on their own calls and tasks. (this does vary a bit depending on your own schedule)
