Help the medically underserved by serving as a volunteer nurse at Open Arms Health Clinic! Open Arms is a free clinic in Arlington, TX that provides care to low-income and uninsured individuals in North Texas. We are completely volunteer run and would not be able to carry out our mission without nurses providing their time and talent.
The clinic provides high quality, evidence-based care to those without any other options for healthcare. Most of our patients come in for chronic condition management or acute non-emergency care.
Since Open Arms is a free clinic, we provide malpractice insurance through the Free Clinics FTCA Program, contingent on a background check. You will need to have a current license to qualify for this insurance.
Nurses have the choice to work in person at the clinic or from home via teleconference. Our clinic follows all CDC guidelines. Check out our website: OpenArmsHealthClinic.org.

To provide free, quality, compassionate healthcare to individuals and families of North Texas dealing with chronic and non-emergency acute illnesses, who have barriers to accessing healthcare, by promoting wellness and providing physical, emotional, and spiritual care in a loving, nurturing environment.
Open Arms Health Clinic was conceived by Christian health professionals to help the many families and individuals in our community with limited access to affordable healthcare. In November of 2011 after just one year of planning, God provided the path and the means to open our doors. Open Arms relies on a rotating group of volunteers - doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, med techs, social workers, interpreters and office staff - who work hard to give patients compassionate, quality care. We are blessed with what God has provided, but also aware that the need is far greater than our resources currently provide.
Open Arms is always in need of more volunteers, especially medical professionals and Spanish-English interpreters. We have to turn people away almost every time we open because we do not have enough providers to see them all. With more volunteers, we could see more walk-ins with acute health problems and ultimately open more hours.
We'll work with your schedule.
