The Third Chapter Project, Inc.

  • 2 people are interested

We are providing ebooks to colleges and universities in Africa, in humanities and social science. We need help crafting the message and organizing our fundraising efforts. We are a startup but our team has been in the nonprofit academic publishing field so we do know who to reach out to but are looking for advice and expertise. With COVID 19 having access to off campus resources is more important than ever before.

About The Third Chapter Project, Inc.

Location:

6 Horseshoe Hill Rd., Pound Ridge, NY 10576, US

Mission Statement

To facilitate and improve access to and support digital scholarly communication predominantly in the social sciences and humanities to underserved academic communities in selected regions of developing nations including the Global South.

Description

The Third Chapter Project is a mission-driven, non-profit initiative formed to facilitate access to leading scholarly content in the social sciences and humanities among under-served academic institutions across the globe, initially focusing in Africa. As a result of our extensive experience in global distribution of content curated by the member societies of the American Council of Learned Societies, Third Chapter will capitalize on our team’s success in library sales, digital content distribution and access to high quality content (academic books and monographs) for the benefit of students who otherwise would not have access to these materials.
